Why Choose Willow Crest Hospital/Moccasin Bend Ranch?

1

Improving the mental and behavioral health of children and adolescents is our life’s work! Our goal is to work on the issues early in hope that our child and adolescent patients won't have to continue to struggle into adulthood.

2

We have over 40 years of experience treating children and adolescents suffering from mental health, behavioral health, and substance abuse challenges.

3

We are last inpatient psychiatric hospital in the state of Oklahoma that SOLELY specializes in providing inpatient psychiatric to children and adolescents ages 4 - 17.

4

We treat our child and adolescent patients individually; it is not “one size fits all.” Every patient receives an individualized treatment plan to best suit their mental and behavioral health needs.

5

We work to make the admission process is convenient for families and referral sources. We begin the intake process over-the-phone (the family or referral source does not have to be on-site to begin the intake process) and gather the information needed to ensure our inpatient psychiatric treatment program is appropriate for the child or adolescent before the family makes the trip to our facility. Additionally, if the patient meets criteria for admission, we will hold the bed for the patient, given a reasonable amount of time, until the patient arrives. Lastly, if the patient needs transportation to our facilities to complete the admission, we can provide that service. Just let our intake team know during the intake process.

Family sessions are a critical part of our program. We encourage all families to attend these sessions in person, but we also offer tele-therapy to families and guardians, depending on the circumstances.

We accept Oklahoma Medicaid (i.e. SoonerCare), Managed Care plan and most commercial insurance plans.

What Makes Us Different from Other Inpatient Psychiatric Hospitals?

  • Willow Crest Hospital provides multiple levels of inpatient psychiatric care for adolescents; acute (ages 9-17), sub-acute (ages 9-17), substance abuse (ages 9-17). Additionally, Moccasin Bend Ranch provides residential treatment for children, ages 5-12. This makes our facility unique from the other inpatient psychiatric facilities in Oklahoma, as we allow for a continuum of inpatient psychiatric care for our patients.

  • Our programs include cutting edge therapy techniques such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Processing (EMDR) and Play Therapy.

  • As our patients approach discharge, Willow Crest Hospital/Moccasin Bend Ranch will schedule follow up appointments with the patient's outpatient provider and medication management provider. If our patients do not already have an established outpatient therapist or medication management provider, we assist the family in finding one for their child or adolescent near the area in which they live. We also send a 30-day prescription for medications to the patient’s local pharmacy.
