Our facilities provide care appropriate for latency children ages 5-12 and
adolescents ages 13-17 with psychiatric, emotional, behavioral, alcohol and drug
problems requiring 24-hour care.
Acute Inpatient Care
-
The Acute inpatient program helps children and adolescents with
emotional, psychiatric and behavior-related problems requiring 24-hour care,
including those in crisis situations needing continuous medical monitoring.
The goal of this program is to stabilize and refer the patient to
appropriate levels of care as soon as possible.
Residential Inpatient Care
-
The Residential program is suited for children and adolescents who
have not yet responded to inpatient or outpatient services. It is also an
ideal extension of care for young people who have been hospitalized and
would benefit from a period of residential care before returning to their
homes, schools and communities.
We offer two different types of residential treatment. A
child may continue his or her residential stay at the hospital in a secure
locked setting, or may be transferred to Moccasin Bend Ranch. At
Moccasin Bend Ranch we offer the same program elements in a secure unlocked
setting. The patients receiving their treatment at the Ranch are seen by
the same level of professional staff and are provided with an additional
wilderness outdoor program.
